International Womans Day Celebration

🌸 International Women’s Day – Community Celebration ðŸŒ¸

Hamilton Our Town and Hamilton Information Project for Youth (HIPY) are jointly hosting an International Women’s Day community celebration on Saturday 7 March at the Regent Centre, Hamilton, from 10am to 4pm.

The event will celebrate women in all their diversity and highlight the vital contribution women make to everyday life in our local community. It’s a free, welcoming, drop-in event open to everyone.

On the day, visitors can enjoy stalls from Hamilton Market traders and local makers, live music from local performers, and a range of community information stalls. HIPY will also be providing free re-usable period products for anyone who needs them, whilst stocks last.

We’ll also have performances by An Abba Dream, Taylor Swift Tribute, The Taylor Swift Effect, Free Face painting, Free Glitter Tattoos and much more!

This International Women’s Day, we’re coming together to recognise and celebrate the women who help shape Hamilton — past, present and future

About International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day is a global day marked each year on 8 March to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. It is also a moment to reflect on progress made, raise awareness of ongoing inequalities, and champion action that supports women and girls in communities everywhere. Locally, it’s a chance to recognise the women who contribute so much to everyday life in Hamilton — often quietly, always powerfully.
