Hamilton town centre will come alive on Saturday 4 April as the Hamilton Easter Gala returns to Quarry Street from 10am – 4pm for a fantastic day of entertainment, shopping and family fun.
Organised by Hamilton Our Town BID, the event celebrates everything great about our town centre — bringing together local businesses, market traders, performers and the community for a vibrant spring day out.
Visitors can enjoy a lively street market, browse local shops, grab a bite to eat from cafés and food traders, and soak up a full programme of live entertainment throughout the day.
Live Entertainment – Main Stage (Bandstand)
The bandstand stage will host a packed line-up of performers including live music, choirs and tribute acts:
- 11:30 – Steve Who
- 12:00 – Sambayabamba (with a second performance at 1pm at the top of the street)
- 12:20 – Jane Henderson
- 12:50 – Hamilton Rock Choir
- 13:20 – The Taylor Swift Effect
- 14:00 – MLU Squad

- 15:00 – Bonnie Banks
Fun for the Whole Family
There will be lots happening across the street all day, including:
- The popular Hamilton Market
- Free face painting for kids
- Family crafting activities
- Pop-up performances along the street
- Great food and drink in our local cafes
Our Easter Gala Day is a great opportunity to bring people into Hamilton town centre and showcase the brilliant businesses we have here. With the market, entertainment and Drama Kirk’s Passion Play on Castle Street, it promises to be a fantastic day. Community events like this are part of our ongoing programme of monthly activity designed to encourage people to shop local and spend time in the town – Malcolm Thomas-Harley
