B2B Newsletter: June 6th 2023 – Hamilton BID

Hamilton Market:

Over a period of 3 months, (March – May) almost 10,000 additional visitors year on year have visited the town centre for our markets and events with the last market on the 27th May generating an 21.5% footfall uplift on the same day last year in spite of the bank holiday weekend. Our promotion of the market, events and businesses on facebook alone has seen reach figures in excess of 1 million March to May, advertising the town centre as a great place to visit.

The next Hamilton Market date is June 24th taking place in the Regent Centre. We then move back onto Quarry Street on the 29th July for Pride South Lanarkshire and 12th August for Hamilton outdoor market. With the additional footfall and interest that the markets generate, an opportunity is presented to capitalise on the footfall from either a direct sales perspective or marketing opportunity. There are several ways to get involved from leafleting, running a special promotion on market days, to taking a stall and more. Please get in touch if you would like a stall or more info on how to make the most of this opportunity.

Pride South Lanarkshire:

We are delighted to report that the National Lottery has awarded Hamilton Our Town a grant award to support the running or Pride South Lanarkshire. The Lottery joins EventScotland as key funders for this important community event taking place on the 28th and 29th July in our area. If you or your business would like to get involved, please get in touch. How to help? This could be helping as a pride steward, putting up advert in your business, sharing our posts, donating a prize for our raffle or anything else that you can think of!

Pride Guide:

We are currently producing a guide to the events which will feature community organisations, an event guide and businesses that request inclusion in the guide. This guide will be made available online through July. Please get in touch if you would like to be featured.

VIP Tables – Drag @TheTownhouse 28th July:
