Businesses vote for Hamilton Our Town (BID) to continue for new term:
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to vote at our renewal ballot. Voting closed 6th October and the count was declared last Friday with the largest ever turnout recorded since the BID area was created in 2012. Alongside recording the largest ever turnout, we also received the highest number of votes in favour, 79% yes and the highest by RV in the 10 years since the BID was created representing overwhelming support. None of this would have been possible without the help and support from the Hamilton business community. We will now set to work delivering on the new business plan starting with a set of 3 festive events starting on 26th November.
Festive events 2022:
26th November – Light Switch On
3rd December – Reindeer Parade
17th December – Christmas Gala

This year we will return with the hugely successful Hamilton Hero Awards to determine who will switch on the town’s Christmas lights. The switch on will take place on Nov 26th as part of the festive market with a large stage planned for the top cross area. A secondary performance area will be located within the Regent centre and at the bandstand. Unfortunately, due to safety reasons have not been given permission to carryout activity in the New Cross centre. The market will start at 10am and finish at 6pm, therefore we are encouraging businesses to stay open until 6pm on the 26th Nov to capitalise on the additional footfall.
