LANARKSHIRE PRIDE – THIS SATURDAY
Lanarkshire Pride event takes place in Hamilton this Saturday, 1 August, bringing entertainment, activities, a street market and the Pride parade to the town centre.
Please be aware that Quarry Street will be closed to vehicles from 5.30am until 7.30pm. No parking will be permitted during this period, and businesses should ensure that vehicles are not left parked overnight on Friday.

Lanarkshire Pride is organised by Lanarkshire Pride CIC, with support from various event sponsors and supporters including Specsavers Hamilton, Scullion Law, Hamilton Our Town.
SUMMERFEST HAMILTON
This year’s Summerfest Hamilton has featured 50+ events representing more activities across the month than ever before.
Events have included HIPY’s three-day free to attend Commonwealth Games-themed “Going for Gold” events in the Regent Shopping Centre, Hamilton Summer Gala and a whole host of free family activities. The Summerfest website has received almost 5,000 visits so far, while the festival has also been promoted on GO Radio across the month—helping to shine a spotlight on our town centre.
We have now reached the final week of Summerfest, with Lanarkshire Pride bringing the month-long programme to a colourful close this Saturday!
FOOTFALL UPDATE
June footfall figures show that Hamilton town centre welcomed an estimated additional 59k visitors in the month versus June 2025. This represents a positive year-on-year increase of 11.4%.
Overall estimated footfall for the year to is 40k+ visits ahead of the same period last year, representing an increase of 1.2%.
