🤝 Get Involved – Board Director Opportunities

Do you have the time and experience to help shape the work of Hamilton Our Town?

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from local business representatives who may wish to join our Board of Directors.

This is a voluntary governance role, where Directors:

  • Provide strategic oversight and guidance to the BID
  • Help shape priorities, projects and activity
  • Represent the interests of levy-paying businesses

Please note:

  • All applicants will be subject to an assessment and approval process
  • The role requires a commitment to attend meetings and contribute to the organisation’s work
  • Directors are expected to act in the best interests of the BID and its members

☀️ Summerfest 2026 – Get Involved

Following the success of our first month-long Summerfest in 2025, we’re bringing it back for 2026.

Last year saw:

  • 40+ events and activities
  • Promotion across Go Radio and digital channels
  • A strong programme from Summer Gala Day through to Lanarkshire Pride

Throughout the month, we were delighted to list a wide range of events across the area, including colouring competitions, knitting classes, museum pop-ups in the Regent Centre, and much more.

Why a festival?
This model enables a sustained focus on the town centre—showcasing activity, vibrancy, and everything Hamilton has to offer across Central Scotland. It supports footfall, economic activity, and placemaking.

💡 Summerfest Workshop

🗓 Thursday 30th April
⏰ 16:00 – 18:00
📍 Regent Centre, Hamilton

We’re hosting a free workshop to help businesses plan and develop ideas for Summerfest.

Activities don’t need to be large or expensive—they can be as simple as:

  • In-store promotions
  • Competitions
  • Special menus
  • Entertainment or small events
