Summer Market this Saturday – Road closed

Hamilton Market returns to Quarry Street this Saturday with a wonderful array of stalls and free to access outdoor activities for families including our summer trail. As usual the road will close at 05:30 and open from 19:00, or when safe to do so, which may be earlier. As per our normal operational plans for the market, taxi companies are aware, closure advertised and signage in place. If there are any operational challenges, please let us know at info@hamiltonbid.org So far this year our events have attracted almost 10k additional visitors to the town.

Pride South Lanarkshire: 27th July

This event takes place on Quarry Street and Townhead Street. If any business would like to get involved, for example support as volunteer stewards, sponsor, or have plans already in place to celebrate the day, get in touch at info@lanarkshirepride.co.uk. For the purposes of planning, (in the event of good weather on the day), it is likely that PrideSL24 may attract a high number of visitors. Community info stalls / commercial stalls will open at 10:00. Entertainment will operate 12:00-17:00 and the march will leave Quarry Street from 14:00 with the destination SLC council headquarters at Almada Street, returning on a similar route back via Cadzow Street and the Townsquare for around 15:15. Quarry Street will be closed as per usual on event days from 05:30 to 19:00.
