Supporting Hamilton’s Businesses

We are delighted to welcome Gondolina – the Italian restaurant that’s opening on Cadzow Street – and really pleased that we’re able to support them with a ??1,000 business improvement grant, helping towards improvements to their premises’ exterior.

Pictured (below) is Fausto, the owner of Gondolina, receiving a cheque from our manager, Malcolm Thomas-Harley.

Fausto originates from the town of Alvito, a town and comune in central Italy, in the province of Frosinone – just south of Rome in the Lazio region. He tells us that they import key ingredients from Italy and produce their own breads on site.

Gondolina will be selling Italian classics including pizza, gelato and delicious coffee – and they will also have a takeaway option. They’re hoping to be open at the start of November (2020) – so keep an eye on their Facebook page for more.
