Market stall opportunity: We still have space left for anyone wishing to take a free stall on either the 9th or 16th April at our events. This could provide additional income and an opportunity to get the brand out to a new audience!. However, we do need you to be quick with your applications especially if you sell any form of food. If interested, please complete the attached form by Friday 18th March: https://forms.gle/nuk93ErAYrCmjeQ2A
Survey next steps & Breakfast meet: Many thanks to all of you that have completed our survey and also provided feedback so far. The survey will remain open until 21.03.22 for those yet to complete.Over the past 2 months I have visited many of you in your businesses to understand more about what we can do to support. Getting the chance to talk directly especially given the restrictions over the past few years is really important. In this spirit I will be hosting x3 informal breakfasts meetings on the 29th, 30th, and 31st March in Made In Scotland’s office on 60 Castle Street. This is an opportunity to discuss any further ideas and feedback on what you think we should be focusing on over the next 5 years. I will also run through findings from our survey and what we can do to help shape the future of the town over this 1 hour session starting at 9am on each of the mornings! If anyone is interested, please get in touch at malcolm.thomasharley@hamiltonbid.org
Renewing Your Business Energy: When your energy deal comes to an end, what should you do? You will have inevitably heard about the cost of energy rising for both residential and commercial customers. We’ve been speaking to our BID partner, eyebright, to get their thoughts on the matter and asked them for advice on achieving the best renewal price. It was good timing as eyebright recently wrote an article on renewing your business energy. You can read more here https://eyebrightutilities.co.uk/blog/business-energy-renewal/. With energy prices expected to remain elevated for some considerable time, it’s best to plan for the implications to your business well in advance. If you’re looking to save money then eyebright can assess your water and telecoms costs too. Many businesses are often overpaying for these services, but eyebright can help review your commercial energy, water, telecoms, broadband and chip and pin contracts. For bespoke utility advice tailored to your business, speak to your local BID consultant Michael at m.dogan@eyebrightutilities.co.uk or call 0141 530 4152.
