Spring Festival starts this Saturday:
Hamilton Market is back in the Regent Centre this Saturday, with lots of kids activities such as pirate storytelling, outdoor learning workshop, street dance work shop and a silent disco. This event also sees activities in and around the Quarry Street area with a pop-up performance from Samba Ya Bamba and a new pirate treasure hunt emanating from the bandstand. Thanks to the shops that have volunteered to get involved with this. The road remains fully open for this date.

Quarry Street road opening update:
Following our feedback, signage indicating that no deliveries are permitted has been removed. Additionally we have provided feedback that the signage in general could be improved to ensure visitors are clear regarding the correct areas to park.
Town centre footfall:
We are now working with Placeinformatics to enhance our information regarding footfall within the BID area of Hamilton. The platform provides insights that allow the organisation to make data-driven decisions using valuable footfall data and behavioural analytics to identify and understand visitor activity and optimise the town centre footfall. The data has shown that the popular Christmas Light Switch-On saw a month-on-month increase of 32.7%.
Results for January:
The area increased footfall by 0.7% versus 2023, +3,734 additional visitors. 63% of visitors came from within a 10-mile radius of the town centre. The average dwell time for our visitors in January was 80 minutes.
