Hamilton Market Update
Thanks to the businesses in the BID area that have completed the request for a stall at the upcoming Saturday markets on Quarry street and provided the paperwork as per our requests. Whilst we are required to provide details to licencing well in advance of the market dates we may be able to take further stall requests from BID businesses that have not yet applied. As a reminder businesses are not permitted to sell hot drinks on the stalls to provide the many food businesses on the street with an opportunity to capitalise on the footfall. Alcohol will not be on sale also.

As per the plan in addition to our town centre businesses we are carefully assessing applications for stalls from out-with the town to provide additional footfall driving opportunities to support the town. Whilst we have received x75 applications for stalls only a small number of these applications will pass our stringent assessment process with the needs of our BID businesses taking top priority. Stallholders selling pet supplies / local Art / specialist or bespoke / local items or products are now being considered to complement our existing offering. Advertising plans are now in place with significant outdoor and social media marketing plans now confirmed. Plans for on-street entertainment are being finalised now to bring energy and fun to the market days…
July Photography and social media
June has been our 1st month using our new digital marketing provider Made In Scotland. We have been delighted by the engagement levels across our social platforms driven by excellent photography, business engagement and carefully managed social media posting in place to drive business into the town. Darren will now start the next cycle of photography starting next week.
