Summer Market Proposal
Re engaging our customers with the town centre and in turn driving footfall will be a vital component of our recovery through the next period. With restrictions easing but a degree of uncertainty remaining plans around footfall driving initiatives require a considered and agile approach.
We are looking at options to run a Market each Saturday in August on Quarry Street. See key points below and link to a small survey to capture your opinion on this.
- Proposed location – Quarry Street. This will drive footfall into the heart of the improvement district
- Stall holders – We propose providing a large proportion of stalls for FREE to BID levy payers. We will also invite high quality and experienced Lanarkshire stall holders to augment the mix
- Layout – x30 back to back stalls on the middle of the street in an effort to drive footfall into the existing businesses
- Marketing – The BID will launch a summer campaign across the region to promote the Market and the improvement district area
